Be empowered, hold your vision ~ Justice for all

As I observe social media political posts, what’s evident is the narrative and direction needs to shift – if true progressive change is desired. It’s normal to navigate through the challenging times with a range of emotions – but please do not allow all of this to paralyze you into inaction. Some are spun out in fear, and are overwhelmed. Some scan headlines without fact-checking sources, and spin out of the present into fearful future projection into blame, what if’s, full-on despair, and panic. Others have joined together in solidarity, combining forces for causes and issues, promoting diversity, standing up for humanity, writing letters, and making phone calls. So many empowered beings are rising up who will not be silenced, or censored. These actions are inspiring, more powerful, and energizing. This will lead to a true uprising of the people, and a massive shift of what we will tolerate, allow, and accept. Together we move forward with one step at a time.

time-to-rise-up

My purpose, passion, and work in the world centers around empowerment, connection to your authentic self and truth, attracting what you want through intention, inspiration, inspired action, and being in flow and alignment with your heart. This whole “resist” movement does not resonate with me. Pushing against what you don’t want is not effective. This brings more of what you don’t want your way. Resisting puts you on the defensive. Push toward, and promote what you want. While I understand the meaning behind the resist movement, it feels counterproductive in an energetic sense.

Instead, be persistent and consistent.

Be proactive in creating the change you seek.

Be an activist for the causes and issues you support and believe in.

Flow towards what’s calling for your attention to heal, transform, and shift.

Show up from a place of love, empowerment, not fear and disempowerment, or fear-based reactions.

Start within to create the outer change in the world you desire.

Seek uplifting, inspiring, and empowering information to help propel you forward.

When you feel enraged, ENGAGE.

When you want to resist, PERSIST.

When you resist, you are fighting against something. Being against it – is pushing against it, and allowing it to continue. Stop fighting against everything. This resistance creates more resistance, more tension, more push back, more fighting, more division, and offers you a defensive position.

Rise up. Stand up. Stand together. Band together in unity for truth, for justice for all. Equal rights for all. For all of humanity.

No walls. No division. Envision the future where you build healing bridges between differences and where your voice is heard. A collective vision to unite for one another, our rights, our bodies, our personal freedom, our environment, and our Earth.

It’s time to revolt for positive change, and desired outcomes. This revolution is long overdue. We are greater than fear-based systems, greed-driven old paradigms that are antiquated and outdated, that do not represent all of humanity, or protect our environment, for the greater good.

No one has power over you, your thoughts, your emotions, or your body unless you give it. No president, leader, or administration is going to “save” anyone or prevent anyone from accessing their truth. You are stronger than allowing anyone, or any one president take your strength, hope, power, and vision away. This, or any other time, is not the time to be a victim, and powerless. This corrupt political joke of a system wants us to be divided in fear. We have the power. You hold the power. We are the present and future. They are the past. Hold this administration, and our representatives accountable. Remember, they work for us. And at the end of the day, you answer to yourself, your family, your values, and your heart.

Yes, I am concerned. Don’t misinterpret my position as being in support of this government, or the proposed policies, or executive orders that discriminate, criminalize, or further oppress. I’m suggesting we approach it differently, and shift to a more positive narrative, of what you would like, instead of this constant negative stream of what you don’t.

Stay present, awake, conscious, educated, and informed.
Build community, volunteer, and help others.
Stop blaming, and take responsibility for your part in creating this.
Move the conversation forward, and vibrationally upward.
Take action.

If you want to march, and make signs, march for the positive, not anti- this or that, or anti-whoever. Use it as a way to create awareness, not divide or fight against.

Create a self-empowerment strategy; one that includes your voice, self-love, and compassion for self and others.

Use your voice to call out the corruption, deception, Fascism, censorship, corporate-owned media manipulation, — regardless of party affiliation because much of what is occurring now did not just begin a week or two ago.

Create an action plan where you are energetically in alignment with who you are, your values, and your heart.

Together let’s be:
Empowered
Strategic
Creative
Energized
Conscious
Awake
Active
Engaged

And approach with love, compassion, truth, and authenticity as if your life depends on it.

Raise the vibration and collective conscious from a heart-driven place, instead of reactionary fear.

Truly hold the vision for well-being, and for justice for all.

It’s JUST US who we can count on, after all.

Together we stand, together we rise.

This is our land,
where we band together,
where we stand together,
in unity, peace, with hands together.
Where we rise together,
thrive together,
to break this illusion,
dissolve fear and delusion,
to steer action and revolution.

The time is now,
for only you will allow,
the vision you hold,
and what you vow.

Drop your fear,
and calm your fright.
Engage your heart,
without the fight.
Bring your light,
with all your might.
Together we rise,
standing bright.

Holding your vision all year long

Let’s welcome 2017 and embrace possibilities! Another milestone, and another year to create long lasting changes, and magical shifts in your life. Dreaming, and attracting what you would like to create into witnessing its evidence when it comes to fruition isn’t just for New Year resolutions.

Envisioning your dreams, focusing on your intentions, and taking inspired action to create a better reality and life, is not just limited to resolutions or “setting your intentions” at the beginning of the year. Progress and momentum happens with all the small steps you take in each moment, becoming aligned with what you desire, and deciding where to focus your attention, intention, and energy. It takes clarity, choice, intention, deliberate focus, attention, and vision — all year long! Holding your vision throughout the little moments that are embedded in each day, the week, month, and year is where the practice begins. Holding your vision, and returning to what you really want wherever you can, offers consistency, creates new neural pathways in your brain, builds positive habits, and sparks momentum.

Envisioning your ideal life using each moment to bring what you desire. An element, a piece, an aspect of the vision you hold dear to you heart. Create habits by integrating daily, weekly, and monthly rituals, or ceremonies. (Check out my previous post on “Creating a Spiritual Practice” to learn more: https://intentiongroups.com/2016/01/28/creating-a-spiritual-practice-intention-wellness-ritual/

Let’s not forget to add commitment. Decide in this moment, right now, that you will commit to yourself, and your dream fulfillment journey. How will 2017 unfold for you? However you desire. What will you bring to 2017, and allow to magnetize your way?

Contemplating 2017…

What do you desire to attract into your life, shift, improve, change, or release?

What’s calling for you to learn? Resolve? Be fulfilled?

Who would you like to surround yourself with this year? What types of people? What qualities do they hold and express?

What qualities would you enjoy embodying?

What experiences would enrich or improve your life?

What opportunities can you offer yourself that would provide personal growth?

How can you help others this year?

What issues are important for you to advocate for?

Remember that throughout the year, you always have an opportunity to course correct. In each moment, you can pause, stop, and reset, to bring the vision and energy of what you prefer, instead of what is dragging you along, or down. Check in with yourself – your inner self, your heart. Ask in each moment what you need. What does your heart need? Decide on the direction you need to go based on how you feel. As what you desire flows your way, if it is indeed what you intended, and held your vision for, continue in that direction. If not, like any wise ship’s captain, if you’re not headed where you want to go, change course, and correct your navigation. With intentions, your inner navigation provides the best guidance. Focus on building, creating, and improving your new life in this new year; one moment at a time. From one inner nudge to the next.

Applying “Trust the Process” to Intentions

trustprocess

It’s common on an intention journey to have others utter, “Trust the process.” That phrase is embedded in our supportive language. Kind, and helpful gesture, yes, but, “trusting the process” runs many layers deeper, holds more meaning, and reaches farther from my experience. Trusting the process, and trusting that your intention seeds will come into fruition is a sliver of the process. “Trust the process” also includes the trust you have in yourself, or the trust that you are working on within yourself while you navigate the process of allowing things to align. Trusting the process is also tied to surrendering to how your intentions will materialize and what it will “look like.” Trusting the larger vision, and broader picture for how it will be orchestrated, and woven together takes practice and patience.

“Trust the process” may also include:

(1)   Trusting yourself for knowing what you want and need, or trusting that through clarity, and insight, what you desire will be revealed to you when you are ready.

(2)   Trusting yourself to stay focused even when distractions present, or a different outcome shows up, or when you get discouraged and feel that something is not going to work out for you around your intention (doubt, fear, worry, panic, excuses, stress, what other people think and express).

(3)   Trusting that inner voice, your intuition, and the source in yourself that can step back and approach the intention from a broader sense.

(4)   Honoring the TRUST by creating a renewed relationship to trust yourself despite the past, what the reality is, or whether you are observing things from limited horse-blinder, narrow, or big picture viewpoint. Give a voice to the trust by using language that reflects it: “I believe it’s coming, without a doubt. It is, I AM…I trust it will all work out. It always works out for me. I am attracting this, or something better. I am creating from possibility, not from my limitations.”

(5) Trusting the process, and allowing whatever you are focusing on, and holding your vision for, to unfold in its own time, in its own way. Get out of the way! Let the process flow through you. Trust that the process is flowing, even if you are not noticing movement signs just yet.

Create an acrostic poem using the letters of TRUST. Design a word play, and a short mantra to illustrate your commitment to trusting yourself throughout your intention journey. Trusting the process is more than just a catch phrase, it is a way to move forward, and allow yourself, and your unique process, and path to effortlessly unfold.

Creating a Spiritual Practice / Intention / Wellness Ritual

images-10

What does creating an intention, wellness ritual, or spiritual practice mean to you?

For many, it may mean: This is my time to either receive insight or guidance from my divine self. Where I am going to take time for me, focus, be conscientious, mindful, and awareness on putting my intentions and my spiritual connection, and overall wellness on the forefront. This is when I breath. When I slow down. Be present. Where I live in the now. Nourish myself. Where I listen to that quiet voice. Tune in to my own frequency.

There are unlimited opportunities, and small gestures to open up this space for yourself. You may have some form of daily ritual, or spiritual type of practice that bring yourself back into alignment, and balance, so you can move forward, give your gifts, bring out your purpose, and learn more about yourself. A reset button time. Recalibration or personal check in time. This spiritual practice is another component to opening the space up to invite that higher self or source to come through you — to you, for you.

It’s about focus, and attention on what you want, and getting out of your way, with visualizing, dreaming, appreciation, and gratitude; all part of the process of getting vibrationally aligned with your desires. It’s about creating the time, inner-landscape, and ritual, so it becomes you; a new habit, and pattern of deliberating being, and creating your ideal life from an inspired place. Creating a practice is not just taking time out for self-care or being spiritual. It’s about creating a rhythm, space for consciousness, and a practice around it, shifting, and doing it! A shift-ritual! Create a “Shifttual”!

Here are some ways you can integrate a spiritual practice and a create a “shiftual” into your daily life:

Gratitude practice          Writing          Being in nature          Reading or writing poetry

Journaling          Meditation          De-cluttering          Napping          Walking meditation

Affirmations, mantras          Writing a handwritten letter to someone          Yoga practice

Complimenting someone          Breath work          Mudras with hands          Mindful moments

Gardening          Read, stretch, or walk at a specific time of day          Laughter

Tarot cards            Choosing a rune          Candle lighting          Bath time          Slowing down

Visiting your sacred space          Honoring others, small kindness gestures          Imagining

Music to inspire, as a way to connect, relax, etc.          Tea, coffee, drinking water

Having a spiritual practice helps you become more deeply connected to yourself, to your intentions, and dreams. Creating a spiritual practice is part of self-care. It’s one way to deliberately design your life to allow for your intentions, visions, and dreams to magnetize, and manifest. By taking little steps towards wellness, and integrating mindful rhythms and rituals within your day, over time you develop a seamless practice, and/or deepen one if your practice exists into your daily life.

Utilize your spiritual practice zone to inspire wellness, enhance personal development rituals, and one that compliments and fuels your intentions. Prioritize you, and your time. Implement strategies for yourself to help guide you towards success. Make the time, and establish a rhythm for yourself to create long-lasting changes. Honor yourself by gifting yourself this spiritual practice time regardless if it’s 5 minutes or 5 hours. Remember to begin, or maintain your spiritual practice, and embed daily rituals as part of your daily practice. This can be combined as an intention tool, and be part of your personal spiritual development even when you are busy.

Creating time is equally as important as creating the sacred space we explore with intentions. Make “when” part of the ritual & practice too – not just what you do, but when you do it.

Why create a spiritual practice / wellness ritual to connect to your intention path?

images-21* Creating a spiritual practice or intention ritual helps us create our amazing life.

* Routines are nourishing, and supportive to our intentions, nervous system, and life path.

* Provides a spiritual spine, positive habit framework, and foundation for your day. How you start your day, sets the tone for the entire day. Daily becomes weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.

* Your energy is powerful when your approach your day with consciousness

* A way to create a pattern to establish change, new thoughts, actions and behaviors. A rhythm is a catalyst for growth.

* The ritual is to replenish, and provide an opening for wisdom, for inspired action, to settle in, re-group, to keep vibration high, for a physical check in on body where stress may live, or you may feel uneasy, getting intuition and where you can acknowledge it.

* Rituals are grounding, empowering, and an anchor to a day that otherwise can blow away with the wind.

* Having a ritual becomes a fresh start and a way to release the previous day, past struggles, etc. How, with presence, bringing your full attention, and being deliberate can help shift circumstances and perspective.

* Creating rituals and a practice contributes to personal development and positivity.

* Rituals and routines a way to connect with your sacred self, and honor the source within.

* A way to raise your vibration by doing something joyful, peaceful, calming, and harmonious.

For many of us, our life, and how we live our life becomes the spiritual practice. Having a cup of coffee, walking the dog, retrieving the newspaper or mail from the box, and adding meaning to a repetitive task, or offering consciousness to an otherwise mundane situation can also be a spiritual experience.  You don’t necessarily need to park your fanny on a mountaintop to meditate. And it doesn’t necessarily mean you need to meditate on a cushion, sit at your alter or do a yoga pose, but if you are inspired to, and that works for you, wonderful! As you spiritually grow, and develop your spiritual practice may shift, and look different than you previously envisioned. Seek pleasure, enjoyment, presence, and inspiration with your spiritual practice. Develop and customize your own spiritual, wellness, or intention rituals that fit for you, your path, and personal growth.

How would your life positively change if you incorporated a spiritual practice moving forward – with diligence, persistence, mindfulness, dedication, and joy? Positively infuse your day with high-vibrational, uplifting rituals within your practice to support your wellness, and intentional path to your dreams.

Are your beliefs attracting or repelling your intentions?

Understanding how your belief system influences your reality, and how your beliefs attract or repel your intentions, dreams, and goals, is a powerful step to creating a bee-line path to your desired life. Belief systems help create your reality. Beliefs influence, and code everything you do from your attitude, behavior, choices, and actions. Beliefs are one lens, and one perspective through how you perceive, interpret and live your life.

IMG_0377

How do your beliefs influence your intentions and dreams?

You are a multi-dimensional creature that emanates energy vibrationally through your thoughts, consciousness, energy, and physical body. Your beliefs are part of who you are whether conscious, or subconscious –whether they are known, or live in the sub-terrain of your brain. You have been influenced by your childhood, your career path, experiences, relationships, to religion, and spirituality, your culture, your family life, your pets, the news, your perspective, and beyond. Everything in your own personal experience, and life has had an affect on your perception, and what you choose to believe. All of this shapes who you are, and what you believe to be true in your mind. A belief is a thought, thought over, and over that is believed to be true. Therefore, beliefs are invented. Beliefs could be used as a form of “safety,” and survival instinct for protection. Beliefs are constructed, and can be destructive to your well-being if you are holding on to beliefs that no longer positively serve you.

As you dig deeper under the many layers to your intentions, it’s worthwhile to excavate beneath the surface to the many facets of limiting beliefs, and uncover how these self-imposed limits may affect your launching point for your intentions, dreams, and in your daily life.

images-9    images-4

Use your beliefs as a tool to strengthen your intentions, and attract more of what you want, and less of what you don’t want in your life. It’s important to draw attention to your restrictive beliefs, and perceived blocks, to move through them, and clear the limiting ones. Beliefs permeate through how you parent, how you show up in relationships, how you view and process the world, and much more.

What beliefs do you embody that distract, deter, or detour you away from your intentions? What beliefs do you hold that keep you away from creating choices and situations in your life that could bring you closer to your intentions, dreams and desires?

Beliefs that are false, misleading, and result in incorrect conclusions you draw based on a variety of factors would be defined as limiting beliefs. You believe them to be true based on our experiences. You anticipate a preconceived outcome based on them – therefore limiting an otherwise plentiful possibility palate. Sometimes beliefs feel true whether they are, or aren’t true at all. They may be true for you. They may help explain the world, yourself, and how you interpret your experiences, both positive, neutral, and negative. Having a negative belief system is a common way to keep whatever is not working for you in your vibration, and attract more of it your way. Limiting beliefs can create a self-fulfilling prophecy.

How do we know we still carry a belief system? It’s still in your vibration if you continue to tell the same old, repetitive, and habitual story around it, or you have negative or counterproductive reactions, attitudes, and limiting behaviors based on the belief. Watch conversations with yourself, the “inner critic or mentor,” with others, from others. Observing and listening to others is a way to become hyper aware of beliefs at play, and witness how you resonate with, or deflect the belief. Ditch the beliefs that no longer serve you. Embrace the ones that empower you, and launch you forward! Dream in full color; full spectrum!

The goal here is not to just create awareness, and identify our beliefs, it’s also to examine the beliefs that may have influence over our full potential of our intentions, and dream manifestation. You can “trace” back and “replace” beliefs, and script a fresh narrative, and new story around the limiting belief. We want to clear the way, minimize, and remove any limiting belief clutter or blocks that are in your field. We start out with infinite possibilities, and our beliefs cut into the potential of what is possible by putting unnecessary perceived limits.

images-3      images-15

Be mindful of language like, “How it’s always been…I’ve always been like this…And how your old story, your past, family history, childhood beliefs, cultural standards, and expectations creep in. The “I can’ts and won’ts” and “I’m not good at this or that.” Challenge yourself, and your belief system. Ask, “Is this really true? Is this how I really feel about ____?” Is this an old habitual pattern or story?” If so, where’s the payoff for you? What benefit is it offering you in keeping you stuck, or from change, or from moving forward? Is it positively serving you or not? If not, give it the boot! Practice what I call, “catch and release.” Catch the thought, catch the limiting belief, — don’t hang on to what doesn’t serve you, and release it.

images         imgres-2

When you write intentions, be on the look out for where your mind/belief system is incongruent with your intentions. Is there a mismatch between what you believe and what you desire? What works for magnetizing your intentions is creating a vibrational match between what you believe, and what you desire. By shifting out of your limits, and aligning to your preferred and empowering beliefs, you create a vibrational match between your beliefs and intentions. Catch the limiting belief, shift it, and create a better vibrational match. “Catch and match”

Part of what I do within the group intention work, and with my transformational coaching is focus on the conscious belief areas first, and teach others how to catch themselves when their limiting belief system pokes through. Creating awareness of the belief systems, and learning how to work with them, leverage them, and harness them is a powerful step to create healing, long-lasting shifts, and movement from binding beliefs into expansion and possibility. For deeper “belief” clearing work, exploring the undercurrent, the subconscious beliefs, and values we adopted offer more clarity, insight and depth. One modality this depth can be achieved through is Theta Healing.

There are oodles of tools available to help clear, diminish and transform limiting beliefs. The list of tools below are helpful to begin belief clearing work. Transform limits, and clear the path to possibilities!

Inspired Action

“Inspired Action” is a term commonly tossed around the Law of Attraction, spiritual and personal development communities. “Inspired Action” is a helpful and effective tool within our intention journey. Here is one way to approach inspired action to better understand its relevance.

imgres

We have our intentions, our dreams, desires, visions, and deepest soul cravings. We set those intentions, provide a space for them to manifest, integrate our tools, hold the energetic individually, and collectively (if you are in a group) for them to manifest. You continue to gain clarity, welcome expansion, and shift for those intentions to materialize, come forth into the physical.

Does it stop there? No. Do we just wait for them to “come true” and appear from the ethers, or just have wishful thinking? Not exactly. Yes, incredible miracles and instant manifestations occur. But wishful thinking alone is not always effective or reliable. We are co-creators in creating our realities and fulfilled lives. Here’s where “Inspired Action” enters the intention scene.

Our intentions are dreams are fabulous. Vibrant. Alive. Full of new possibilities, imagination, and our limitless visions. We emanate and put out our energies and desires to ourselves, each other, the universe – in many forms: writing, vocalizing, thought patterns, showing up with our focus and attention, clarity, practicing our tools, holding our visions, etc. In return, we receive an energetic match in a variety of forms congruent with what we are transmitting out. One of those matches is INSPIRATION. New ideas, signs and messages come our way, and our higher self emerges through insight, intuition, dreams, through other people, synchronicities and more. Are you tuned in?

So what is inspired action given this framework?

Receiving an inspiration to do something, – like a fresh idea or next step. Inspiration comes in endless forms from a nudge to make a phone call, receiving a call/email/message that results in inspiration, doing research on a topic, a pull to visit with a friend, to drive somewhere new, or a flash of insight or revealed layer of what action to move on. Taking action on this very inspiration is what is referred to as “Inspired Action”. Inspiration leading to action. It’s “easy and effortless” and moves you toward what you want. This is not just action. It’s allowing the steps to come to you and being inspired to take the steps, to take action in the direction of your dream, vision or intention.

images-2

Inspiration is a glimpse, a message, and insight from within ourselves and divine guidance. It could be a sign to help create that next step for you. Some are obvious, some subtle. If you are aware, and practice, you may recognize and even seek them.

images-1

For the inspirations that come through, there’s a natural process of taking you closer if you are willing to take action based on them. The inspirations are the little stones along the path that are going to take you closer to manifesting what you want. Some very well may be the stones on your path to line up to the next layer.

The inspirations are the little stones along the path that are going to take you closer to manifesting what you want. Some very well may be the stones on your path to line up to the next layer.

So take inspired action if you are inspired, feel good, feel an increase in energy, uplifted, or if you receive a hunch or push to do something connected to your intention. That may be an indicator to move in that direction, if you feel that is the best direction for you. That little step may not seem like a big deal now, but you add 10 or 100 of them up, -small or monumental – all of a sudden you have a walkway or pathway of cobblestones of these stones, and your path is built one stone at a time, one step at a time.

imgres

These inspired action steps will align you along your path. There may be gaps in between inspirations. That’s more than ok. Some inspirations are close together, while others are far apart, curvy, straight, small or create a large step, or maybe a half a step. You are creating movement from inspiration surrounding your intentions.

Listen to your intuition and inspiration. Check in with yourself. Be open to receiving the inspirations. Be ready to take inspired action from a trusting, non fear-based place. If it feels right, follow the guidance. Follow the inspiration. If it does not feel quite right, rest where you are at, and wait for clarity. Take an inspired action step when you’re ready. When taking inspired action – things will naturally move and shift into the direction of your intention with ease. You become a co-creator with the universe. You are doing your part in the energy flow. Show up with your inspired action steps, and be a catalyst to magnetize whatever it is you would like to create.

Planting Seeds of Intention

“I have great faith in a seed. Convince me that you have a seed there, and I am prepared to expect wonders.” ~ Henry David Thoreau

Each year for my intention circles, I create a theme about planting seeds of intention given the seasonal change from winter to spring and the connection to seeding our dreamy ideas. We “plant seeds” not just in our gardens with vegetables, flowers and fruit. We actively “plant” our seeds of desire, intentions and dreams with every thought, in each moment, daily, weekly, monthly,  yearly, seasonally, and parallel with the lunar cycles.

How much thought, depth, or attention you provide depends on the intention, its development stage, and your willingness and readiness to bring it closer. Where’s your current focus? Where are you actively planting what you desire in your life? What’s evident in your life right now from what you’ve “planted” years ago, months ago, and last week?

colortree

Whatever you are desiring, intending, dreaming, or holding in your heart, in each moment, you are making a decision to consciously focus on it positively, give energy to it or not. Planting your desires, and intentions rolls your intentions and ideas in motion and spins energy their way. Even if you are only speaking or writing about your intentions, you are directing attention, energy and life to them.

When you plant a carrot seed, you expect a carrot without a doubt. Right? You have no doubt a carrot will grow. You may have doubts when it will sprout or if you under or over water it. Or if it gets enough sunshine or shade, and nutrients, but there’s never a doubt you’ll net a carrot.

images-2

Connecting this carrot analogy to your “seeds” of intention, when you plant in your mind and  begin to seed that desire within you, it’s a similar process. Allowing the intentions and dreams to grow and providing the positive influence for growth it needs, guiding its way and trusting the growing process and allowing it to take its course.

Within my groups, I enjoy providing metaphorical connections and symbolic associations to gel the intention work process and add depth and texture. More connections results in a better understanding and physical sensory connection. To bridge the physical planting with our mindful planting seeds of intention, here’s an hands-on “planting seeds of intention” activity I led across all the intention circles.

Materials: Soil, containers, small gardening shovel, assorted seeds, strips of paper,  pen or marker and water.

The physical practice of planting your intention seeds enriches the experience of setting intentions. The seed packages I chose for the groups ranged from Cosmic purple carrots to corn, peas, sapphire flowers, to green beans, pumpkins and more. Begin by choosing seeds that connect and match your intentions.

When you plant actual seeds, you are creating a ritual and a tactile relationship with digging your hands in the dirt, naming the seed for each intention, and feeling what you wish to bring in to your life as you plant. Across the groups, each woman connected their intention to a specific seed. Some women in the groups, buried their intention on a strip of paper along with the seed. Others labeled the strip of paper and set it in the soil after planting so they could read what was planted.

Dig down from within. Open up to possibilities of what you would like to create and expand in to. What new seeds or recycled seeds of intention do you want to grow and nurture this season?

The “Cosmic” purple carrots worked well for those needing some extra universe assistance.  A pumpkin seed for someone represented a “prince charming type” she’s holding an intention for. The Sapphire blue flowers was a connection to the intention setter’s birthstone, and a helpful reminder to set an intention for better self care and prioritizing herself.

Next, plant a seed for each intention and water each one.

What grows, grows from what is cultivated and nurtured. Where are choosing to put your attention? There needs to be patience and surrendering– with seeds, you know they are growing even though you can’t “see” them below the surfaces. Same holds true for intentions. Something is shifting and happening below the surface even if it is not visible yet. Recognize the change and shifts that are occurring for each intention you planted, visible or subtle. Even if there is no bud forming yet, realize there is activity below the soil surface and a sprout will emerge when it’s ready.

Some seeds need time to form deeper roots. If a seed doesn’t sprout, plant another. Keep planting what you want. Welcome the live budding sprout, and the sign that there is movement and growth present. The gardener holds that the garden and seeds WILL grow. The seeds want to become a carrot, flower or plant. That’s their destiny, their will, and their nature.

Our expectation of what will grow, like in our carrot example, holds importance and relevance. Trust what you have planted and bring that energy of “no doubt it will be” with you. Be open to attracting better than you imagined or a better fit for you and your path. Practice expectation without attachment to the exact outcome or how it may show up.

As the month progresses, gently tend to your intentional garden, your “mindful” garden, and love and water those seeds. The intentional seeds you plant and sow, will blossom into fruition with your attention, focus, desire, energy and love. Allow them to thrive and flourish! Go seeds, go! Sprout seeds, sprout! Keep seeding your dreams!

The Art of Setting Intentions All Year Round

images-2The New Year is commonly the time of year where many resolve themselves to goals, making changes, and raising the bar of happiness and fulfillment in their lives. Starting fresh at the New Year to mark a launching point for desires, dreams and wishes is traditional. The auspicious year often begins with the commitment to improve, and successfully shift and change the areas of life most needing attention.

For some, sticking to resolutions and goals works beautifully and effortlessly. The benefits of willpower and ambitious efforts result in success and achievement. And for others, once they drift from their desired goals and signs of quasi-commitment surface, often the level of interest to change and improve, fades and dissolves.  Loving yourself regardless whether you obtain the goal, adhere to your resolution or manifest your intention is an important factor to successful outcomes.

One of the reasons the intention circles I facilitate meet all year round is to keep the momentum of success continual, and level of commitment to one’s self and intentions energizing and alive. Any time of year, season, month or day is a welcomed opportunity to decide what needs improving in one’s life. Through this process of determining and asking for what you want with regularity, you honor yourself. You honor the deepest part of yourself that is yearning for transformation and change. Honoring yourself by focusing on your intentions is a form of self love.

My most treasured intentions are the ones that I create and nurture all year round. When giving your intentions consistent attention, they become a direct reflection of what it is you most dream of magnetizing in your life. There is an art to keeping your intentions, wishes, desires and dreams alive throughout the year. Like any art form, practice is key. Keeping your intentions top of consciousness, in view or easily accessible helps maintain your focus. When your intentions become integrated into your everyday existence, the intentions become more multi-dimensional. Associating feelings, texture and positive sensations with your intentions also aid in enhancing their energetic field of potentiality.

There are several intentions tools, techniques and ideas available to help you master the art of intention setting all year round. Your first step is recognizing and gaining clarity of what you would like to create in your life. From there, any moment in every day has immense potential for cultivating the inspiration to set your intentions whether it’s the New Year or not.

Here’s to fulfilled intentions and realized dreams every day!

Sacred Space

“Sacred Space” was a recent theme across my women’s intention groups and how that connects to our intention work.

Sacred Space” exists everywhere, within our selves, within our intention groups, and externally in physical spaces. Beginning with the intention circles,  sacred space is created each month by forming a trustworthy, safe container for our intentions where everyone is fully supported, and held energetically with high integrity. We are held both within our group, and by our group, even when we are not physically present. Here is one of the passages I read during the groups from, Medicine for the Earth by Sandra Ingerman. She expressed that miracles happen when there is a strong container for the group because everyone “can feel safe in opening up to the power of love.” Her definition of power I also shared with the groups: “Power is the ability to use energy.” Just by meeting together, we create another sacred energy, “an energy of “change, transformation and healing.” This new energy that emerges is how she defines “Sacred Space.”

Beyond the groups and integrating our intentions with “Sacred Space,” “Sacred Space” also translates to our physical surroundings, and external representation of our inner sacred space’s landscape we create in our homes, gardens, yards, trails, rooms, areas of a room, alters, shelves, bathtubs, or retreat spots. In each group, we explored the elements of what makes an external space sacred. The spectrum differed and ranged for each person, but there are commonalities such as a space that is peaceful, inviting, inspiring, welcoming, joyous, deliberate, clean and clear energy, relaxing, rejuvenating, etc. What does “Sacred Space” mean to you?

Where do you have a dedicated special area designated for contemplative or meditative activities? Creating this sacred space provides another energy area to attract what you desire, and reveals another perspective for your intention work. It is a place where you can merge with the sacred surrounding, and discover what you prefer to embody in your life. It is also a place where you can revisit your intentions and clarify your desires.

“Creating sacred space in our gardens makes a profound statement of intention– a proclamation about our connection to the world around us and how we live within it.” Elizabeth Murray, the author of Living in Full Bloom.

Multi-sensory items to consider adding to your space include: light (candle), essential oils, tarot cards, runes, symbols of Gods/Goddesses, deities, statues, incense, flowers, fruit, written mantras, stones (for grounding), sand, textile fabric, something sweet, a writing pad, your intentions, jewels or gems and more.

Sacred space exists within each of us, is our default retreat spot, and available anytime. You are your own portable sacred space container, your own “space-ship.” Practice recognizing your innate sacredness and start from within. Remember to keep your space whether inner, externalized, or within your dream or intention groups sacred towards your dreams and intentions, and not scared or from fear. Same letters, but it’s how you position the letters, and yourself when you approach your intentional sacred space. Be present in your Sacred Space and focus on your well-being and your intentions.

Your “om” work is to revisit your sacred spaces at home, or wherever they may be. Remember that “Sacred Space” is everywhere with no boundaries and it can be a dedicated location. Based on who you are now, what you have already manifested, your current intention focus, and what you desire to attract, — what will you add, remove or adjust in your space? If you do not yet have a designated space, create one or find one that brings you joy, peace and serenity.

Share your progress, and photos of your Sacred Space and I would be happy to post them here — especially if you are energized or experience a positive shift in your desired intention direction as a result of spending time in your Sacred Space and inspiring environment.

Release or focus on the intention?

A question arose whether one should release the intention or focus on it constantly for it to manifest. There is no concrete or rigid answer or any shoulds. Both approaches are effective, and beneficial. There are other methods to consider as well. You can approach your intentions either way, and experiment with what works best for you and your style. You may find combining both releasing, and putting your focused attention on your intentions to be helpful, or depending on your intention, you may have a preference.

After setting your intention, one method is to let go, and release your intention into the ethers, and universe, and allow it to materialize and magnetize towards you. Write it, speak it, share it, and know, feel and sense it is done and complete. Surrender, sit back and wait –without entering the doubt zone.

Some prefer to focus on their desired intentions throughout the day, weekly, and dedicate time and space each day to zoom in, and put dedicated attention on their intentions. You could do visualizations, free write, mantras, affirmations, or frequently bring positive mindfulness to your intentions in a ritualistic way. The Law of Attraction demonstrates that what you focus on shows up in your life. “Energy flows where attention goes.” What is top of consciousness, and part of what’s on your mind is often what you will notice and attract in your life.

Both paths offer value, but ultimately releasing your intention, and letting go is part of the intention process. We can ask, and have laser focus for what we want. Our job is also to get out of the way, and let the universe, your guides, your Source connection, and higher self assist in the process. Allowing whatever you intend to enter your life is also a large part of the journey.
